برعاية الأمين العام لمجلس النواب العراقي السيد صفوان بشير اقام معهد التطوير النيابي وبدعم من الطاولة المستديرة والتعاون مع منظمة سلام الرافدين وغصن الزيتون ومنظمة إغاثة نينوى الإنسانية ورشة عمل عن مفهوم الحريات الدينية وأليات الحماية وتعزيزها وفقا للدستور العراقي في بيروت 18-19 / 8 / 2023 .
شارك في الورشة الأمين العام لمجلس النواب العراقي وعدد من السيدات والسادة من مختلف اللجان البرلمانية وعدد من المستشارين في المجلس. واكد الحضور على أهمية المشروع في بناء مجتمع متصالح ومتنوع والذي سيساهم في تعزيز التعايش السلمي وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة وشهدت الورشة تقديم عدد من المحاور المهمة تمثلت بعرض السيد فادي أبو علام لمفهوم الحريات الدينية واثرها في تعزيز السلام والتنمية.
A workshop on the concepts of religious freedom and mechanisms for its protection and promotion in accordance with the Iraqi constitution.
Under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mr. Safwan Bashir, the Parliamentary Development Institute held a workshop on the concepts of religious freedom and mechanisms for its protection and promotion in accordance with the Iraqi constitution in Beirut, 18-19 Aug. 2023, with the support of the Round Table for Iraqi Religious Freedom, in cooperation with Salam Al Rafidain Organization, Ghosn Al Zayton Organization and Humanitarian Nineveh Relief Organization.
The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, members from various parliamentary committees, and Iraqi Council advisors have participated in the workshop. The participants emphasized the importance of the project in building a reconciled and diverse society, which will contribute to promoting peaceful coexistence and achieving sustainable development. The workshop addressed a number of important perspectives, represented by Mr. Fadi Abu Allam’s presentation of the concepts of religious freedom and its impact on promoting peace and development.
