The Closing Ceremony of the Rubble Removal Project

The Humanitarian Nineveh Relief Organization held the closing ceremony for the project of rubble removal for the fully destroyed houses, facilitating the rehabilitation process in Hamdaniya and supporting the conditions for safe and successful return in Ninewa. With the support of ICRI, funded by USAID, and in cooperation with The Church Supreme Board for Reconstruction – Baghdeda, Karmles Reconstruction Office, Bartella Reconstruction Committee, St. George’s Committee for Reconstruction/ Baretly, and the Shabak Notables Council.

The Ceremony was held in Bartella, in 31 July 2019. Project Results:

  • The Church Supreme Board for Reconstruction – Baghdeda  removed the rubble of 16 fully destructed units, in addition to 16 additional (extra) units, within the granted amount of $48,000 USD. It is also expected to remove other 7-9 extra units within this grant.
  • The Karmles Reconstruction Office removed the rubble of 15 fully destructed units, in addition to 15 additional (extra) units, within the granted amount of $45,000 USD.
  • The Shabak Notables Council removed the rubble of 7 fully destructed units, in addition to 1 additional (extra) unit, within the granted amount of $21,000 USD.
  • The St. George’s Reconstruction Committee removed the rubble of 3 fully destructed units, in addition to 1 additional (extra) unit, within the granted amount of $15,000 USD.
  • The Bartella Reconstruction Committee removed the rubble of 25 fully destructed units within the granted amount of $75,000 USD. It is also expected to remove other 4 extra units within this grant.
